We offer a general waste kerbside bin service to the Mitchell Shire residents and businesses, including the roads outside of the Mitchell Shire collection zone. Bins are collected in the alternate week to the Council collection service.
The first 50 customers in 2025 to sign up to the 240L general waste bin service will receive a 240L bin for $499 for the first 12 months, a saving of $150.
Service cost - 120L bin - $349
This includes:
Delivery of your 120L Wheelie bin
26 fortnightly collections per year, in the alternate week to the Mitchell Shire general waste collection
Once you sign up, you will receive your bin and be ready to go for the next scheduled collection day.

Terms and Conditions
1. Definitions:
- Agreement: This includes the Terms and Conditions and any specific documents related to services, fees, and terms.
- Break Fee: A fee outlined on the website.
- Change in Law: Any new or modified law affecting waste disposal and landfill.
- Confidential Information: Private information shared between parties during the agreement.
- Consumer Price Index: A measure published by the Australian Bureau of Statistics that reflects inflation.
- Disposal Rates: Costs charged by facilities for handling waste .
- Fees: Charges for services or rentals as outlined in the agreement.
- Law: Any applicable laws in Australia.
- Premises: The location where services are provided.
- Products: Specific items mentioned in the agreement.
- Provider: The Provider is “The Green Waste Guys."
- Rental Equipment: Equipment rented under the agreement.
- Services: Services provided as described in the agreement.
- Waste Types: Different categories of waste, including:
- Recyclable Waste
- General Waste
2. Acceptable Materials:
- Only materials classified as general waste should be placed in the designated bins. This includes items that do not pose environmental hazards. Acceptable items include:
- Food scraps (non-recyclable)
- Non-recyclable packaging (e.g., plastic wrappers, chip bags)
- Broken household items (e.g., ceramics, glass without sharp edges)
- Non-recyclable paper (e.g., soiled paper towels, napkins)
- Diapers/nappies and sanitary products
- Adhering to these guidelines helps ensure efficient waste management and protects the environment.
3. Prohibited Materials:
- Hazardous materials, recyclables, and other specific waste types are not permitted in general waste bins. Prohibited items include:
- Hazardous waste (e.g., batteries, chemicals, paint)
- Electronic waste (e.g., computers, TVs, appliances)
- Recyclable materials (e.g., glass bottles, aluminium cans, cardboard)
- Construction debris (e.g., bricks, concrete)
- Medical waste (e.g., syringes, medications)
4. Responsibility of User:
- Users are responsible for ensuring that only acceptable materials are placed in the general waste bins to avoid contamination and additional fees.
5. Service Modifications:
- The collection schedule and acceptable materials may be subject to change. Users will be notified of any modifications in advance.
6. Collection Day Guidelines:
- To ensure your rubbish is collected on the scheduled day, please follow these guidelines:
- Place Bins Out Early: Set your bins out for collection the night before the designated collection day.
- Spacing: Ensure bins are not placed too close to trees, light poles, or parked cars. Maintain at least 1 metre between bins.
- Avoid Overfilling: Do not overfill your bins; the lids must be fully closed.
- No Objects on Lid: Do not place items on top of the bin lids.
- Optimal Placement: Avoid positioning bins in court bowls; place them on straight sections of the curb.
- Timely Removal: Remove your bins from the curbside as soon as possible after collection.
7. Provision of Services:
- Services will be provided as agreed, and schedules may vary with notice.
8. Fees:
- Fees are based on the agreement specifics.
- Additional fees may apply for changes in services or if waste exceeds specified limits.
- You must notify the provider about waste types and any non-compliance.
9. Fee Variations:
- Fees may be adjusted for changes in disposal rates or laws, with a minimum 30-day notice.
- Fees can also be adjusted based on the Consumer Price Index.
10. Payment:
- You must pay the fees (including GST) within 7 days of receiving an invoice. Late payments may incur a fee.
- If you fail to pay, services can be suspended after a reminder.
- These payment terms apply to services and equipment provided.
11. GST:
- If GST is applicable, you must pay that amount along with the fees. Fees are listed including GST.
12. Exclusivity and Termination:
- You grant the Provider exclusive rights to provide services at your premises for the term specified in the agreement.
- The initial term begins when services start or goods are delivered and continues until you terminate the agreement, no earlier than 12 months from the initial date of the agreement.
- Either party can terminate the agreement with written notice, but not before the end of the initial term. After that, a 14-day notice is required for termination.
- If you terminate the agreement within the first 12 months, you won't receive a refund for any fees you've already paid.
13. Access to Premises:
- You must provide full access to your premises for service delivery and equipment as needed.
- If access is not provided, you may incur additional charges.
14. Equipment and Waste Disposal:
- Services equipment will be delivered and collected as needed. You must ensure waste is disposed of properly in the designated equipment.
- The Provider retains ownership of the services equipment.
- You cannot modify or compact materials in the equipment without permission.
15. Maintenance of Equipment:
- You must keep the equipment clean and in good condition. Any damage due to your actions may lead to repair costs.
16. Limits on Equipment Use:
- Do not exceed the specified limits for filling the equipment.
17. Waste Handling:
- The Provider acts as your agent for waste collection and disposal. You must provide accurate information about the waste.
- You are responsible for ensuring that waste complies with relevant laws and the terms of the agreement.
18. Force Majeure:
- If unforeseen circumstances prevent service delivery, the Provider may suspend the agreement without liability.
19. Indemnity:
- You agree to indemnify the Provider against any losses or claims arising from your actions or breaches of the agreement.
20. No Representations:
- The Provider hasn’t made any promises about services or equipment unless specified in the agreement. This does not affect liability for fraud or misrepresentation.
21. Limitation of Liability:
- All implied guarantees and warranties are excluded to the fullest extent allowed by law.
- The Provider's liability is limited to:
- Supplying services again,
- Paying for repairs or replacements of rental equipment or goods.
- Neither party is liable for special or consequential damages, such as loss of profits.
- The Provider isn't liable for losses related to equipment not supplied by them unless caused by negligence.
22. Default and Termination:
- If one party breaches the agreement, the other can give notice to fix the issue. If not resolved in 14 days, the agreement can be terminated.
- The agreement can also be terminated immediately if a party becomes bankrupt or insolvent.
23. Relocating Premises:
- If you move to a new location, the Provider will continue services there and may adjust fees to cover additional costs related to the new location.
24. Subcontracting and Assignment:
- The Provider can subcontract services or transfer the agreement without your consent, but you cannot do the same without written permission.
25. Authority:
- You confirm that the person signing the agreement is authorized to do so and are responsible for any claims arising from this.
26. Confidentiality:
- Both parties must keep each other's confidential information private unless required by law.
27. Governing Law:
- The agreement is governed by the laws of the state where services are performed, with legal proceedings in that state.
28. Disputes:
- If a dispute arises regarding fees or other issues, both parties must negotiate in good faith. If unresolved within 30 days, you may terminate the agreement with a 90-day notice.
29. Amendments:
- The Provider can amend the terms and notify you. If you disagree, you can terminate the agreement without a break fee.
30. Inconsistencies:
- If there are inconsistencies between different parts of the agreement, the specifics will take precedence over the general terms.
31. Whole Agreement:
- This document represents the entire agreement between the parties, overriding any previous understandings. Additional terms on invoices will not apply unless agreed in writing.
32. Severability:
- If any part of the agreement is found to be invalid, the rest remains in effect.
33. Quotations or Proposals:
- By signing a quotation or proposal, you accept the terms of the agreement. Quotations are valid for 30 days unless extended.
- The Provider can change or withdraw a quote before acceptance and may adjust prices based on material cost changes or inaccurate information.
34. Rental Equipment:
- Rental Terms: You must pay the rental fees as specified.
- Obligations: You must care for the equipment, use it only for its intended purpose, and report any damage.
- Title and Risk: The Provider retains ownership; you assume risk upon delivery.
- Indemnity: You are responsible for any loss or damage to the equipment while in your possession.
